SEVILLA

The kogag invited Chris to go with them on their so called “family trip” to Sevilla! It was a great pleasure spending the weekend in the sun. We had lots of laughs and enjoyed the brilliant company… unfortunately Marlo lost his Ray Ban sunglasses during a canoe battle in the river…

Chris was invited by the LAZI academy to hold a keynote on creative ideas. He showed many impressive student works of the past year and hopes to encourage every creative student to do always a little better… since the offspring is our future! We need to push them. Chris does and so does Totems.

LIVING HISTORY

The Museum building, which originally was an elderly home, houses a historical kitchen that was used in the 18th century. To let visitors imagine how life was back in that time, Totems has designed an installation of a projection of 2 kitchen maids in each side of the room who are having a conversation about their lives, back in the days.

THE HERMITAGE MUSEUM

Client: Hermitage Amsterdam

Amsterdam has it’s own Hermitage Museum, a satellite of the Hermitage museum in St Petersburg, Russia. From June 20th 2009 the restored and expanded museum building of the 17th century is open for the public. Visitors can see the beautiful treasures from the State Hermitage Museum.

Totems has designed for the inaugural exhibition ‘At the Russian Court’ a medial installation. The projections shows dancing people in the 19th century in the Hermitage Museum though a window, as if you were in that ballroom by yourself.

CYPRUS PAVILION AT EXPO 2010

12. Oktober 2009


Totems Amsterdam won the competition to design the Cyprus Pavilion for the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai! The pavilion represents the House of Aphrodite: The Goddess of Love and Beauty. The pavilion is made of glass, sandstone, stucco, copper and concrete. Visitors walk through media and exhibits spaces. Each space has a different experience and communication theme.Scale: total 324 sqm.
