Organizing Zaragoza

Dienstag, 04. März 2008

Here is a brief docu of the “field-trip” to Zaragoza in mid january.
While Paula and Robert had to organize a lot concerning the architectual stuff…
Ana was in charge to organize everything around the construction site.
Luckily Totmes appointed Ana from San Sebastian to help and manage the sometimes strange locals.
Anyway. Here are some snap shots:

Strange combination of things to buy at a Zaragoza tourist shop!
The blue thing in the middle is the EXPO mascot, called FLUVI (sorry, we were not responsible for the naming)

Construction site – the impressive silhouette of the cathedral, seen from the roof of the pavilion – the nearness of the cathedral made the group from Vatikan City very happy.

The view from the window of our flat near Utebo, which is in the middle of nowhere! Outside of Zaragoza…
But it is actually very nice. The neighbours are lovely and we have a vacuum cleaner which is called: STUTTGART.

Snapshots of us at our favourite tapas bar in Zaragoza: the “la Republica” – nice decoration, really good food.
This is Paula enjoying the wine…

And this is Ana! Our rescue. We would be lost without her!

Facade presentation

Dienstag, 04. März 2008

Achim, Pascal and Frank have been really inventive to come up with the ultimate solution for the facade of our pavilion. Here we see the demanding and curious expectations of some of the Totems staff. The solution was outstanding. Well done guys!

Last friday the dutch Totems clan joined the Schiphol Plaza opening party to celebrate the beautiful exhibitions and lightning Totems made in the shopping street of Schiphol. Pictures from the design will follow later: but first some partypics!

Dutch Pavilion Zaragoza

Montag, 08. Oktober 2007

Totems won the competition for the Dutch pavillion for the Expo in Zaragoza in 2008!
That means that Totems is doing 2 pavilions next year in Zaragoza, one for Germany and one for The Netherlands!
And that we have won the competition for the Dutch pavilion for already the second time in a row after 2005 in Japan is even more a reason for us to celebrate!!!

The Schmids in Zaragoza

Freitag, 05. Oktober 2007

Robert and Paula went to Zaragoza to inspect the shell of the German Pavilion. In addition to that they also looked at some apartments which Totems intends to rent during the production phase. Unbelievable: Theresia from Holland was in Zaragoza at the same time, to look after der Dutch Pavilion (made by Totems Holland). But both teams didn’t know about each other?! This is true communication.

Brilliance | IAA 2007

Freitag, 14. September 2007

After the knockdown crashtests of the Brilliance vehicles during this summer, the company hold up the flag and bravely presented the brand on the IAA. The result was amazing: the stand was over-crowded. No one expected such a run… even the client was speechless about the amount of dealer applications (people who want to apply for becoming a Brilliance dealer in the future). Unbelievable.

Bertrandt | IAA 2007

Freitag, 14. September 2007

Bertandt message on the IAA is that they are a first class service provider for the automotive industry! Instead of showing off like all the others, they simply offered service in a very comfortable atmosphere. Everyone LOVED IT! The Bertrandt stand was one of the few places to relax. Bertrandt boss Mr. Bichler was so satisfied that he was ‘throwing kisses’ to Totems architect Carola who was in charge of this beauty.

vitrA | Urban Sensuality

Montag, 03. September 2007

Sensuality meets urban, clear architecture. A wonderful and exciting combination of style and senses. The fair stand was one of the highlights at the 2007 ISH in Frankfurt.
